Variegated Alocasia Frydek
Variegated Alocasia Frydek (also known as Alocasia micholitziana 'Frydek' Variegata) is a rare and visually stunning tropical plant prized for its dramatic foliage. A variegated form of the classic Alocasia Frydek, it features large, velvety arrowhead-shaped leaves with striking white or creamy marbling, splashes, or sectors that contrast beautifully against the deep green background. Each leaf is unique in its pattern, making it a collector’s favorite.
The veins of the leaves are typically a bright white, accentuating the bold shape and adding to its sculptural appearance. Variegation can range from subtle streaks to large blocks of color, sometimes even half-moon variegation.
Like other Alocasias, it thrives in bright, indirect light and high humidity, with well-draining soil and regular watering — though care must be taken to avoid overwatering. Because of its rarity and the instability of variegation, the variegated Alocasia Frydek is often more sensitive and slower-growing than its non-variegated counterpart.
